Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an air conditioner which keeps air flow constant as well as minimizes air noise by regulating the rotation number of an air blower for a prenum chamber stepwise according to the opening contidion of a plurality of opening/closing valves provided to each exhaust port of the prenum chamber.
CONSTITUTION: With the actuation of an air blower 3, hot air is sent into a prenum chamber 5 and then delivered to area to be air-conditioned through an opening/closing valve 10. The opening condition of each valve 10 is detected with respecitve microswitch 20 and counted with a counting circuit 21. This counting output is converted into a voltage level by a D-A converter 22. The voltage is amplified by an amplifier 23 and applied to a motor 24 for the air blower 3. Consequently, the rotation number of the motor 24 is increased or decreased stepwise according to the opening condition of the valves 10. With such an arrangement, a constant amount of hot air can be fecl to each room. In addition, concentrated flow of hot air through only some of air conditioning ducts 6 can be eliminated, thus minimizing air noise
