Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a centrifugal advancer in which necessity for adjustment of the position of its weight is decreased by constituting same such that a clearance produced between th weight and the shaft when the weight rod is engaged in a groove formed in the timing lever is restricted within a predetermined range. CONSTITUTION:A weight rod 15 has at the top thereof a tapered guide section 25 with its effective width B in a radial direction. This effective width B is designed to be larger than a clearance A which is produced between a wight 14 and a shaft 1 by rocking motion of the weight 14 after assemblage of the advancer. Accordingly, when a weight piece 16 of the weight 14 is contacted with the shaft 1, the guide section 25 of the weight rod 15 is contacted with a lower opening secftion of a groove formed in a timing lever. The weight 14 is rocked by a component of force upon such contact.
