Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the strength of lug part projecting from an outer ring of a steam turbine diaphragm made of cast iron, by making the lug part of steel.
CONSTITUTION: The steam turbine diaphragm has the lug part 2 projecting from the outer ring 1. The diaphragm proper and the upper lug part 6 are separately formed. The upper lug part 6 is made of steel of high strength and is mounted on the diaphragm proper by a fitting groove 8 and a clamping bolt 7. The strength of the lug part 2 is improved by simple structure. The efficiency of transportation, assembling and disassembling is also improved. The stable operation of the diaphragm can be performed for a long time without damage. In Fig., 3 denotes an inner ring and 4 denotes a nozzle blade
