Abstract
The process is for purifying dilute waste sulphuric acid which contains nitrogen-oxygen compounds as impurity. Such waste acids are obtained in particular in the nitration of aromatic compounds. To purify it, the waste sulphuric acid is admixed with ammonium sulphate and immediately or later treated at temperatures of 30-300 DEG C.
