Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:α,α-Disubstituted isovalerianate esters of formulaI(X is halogen, lower alkyl; Y is phenol, 4-chlorophenyl, β-naphthyl; R is formula II).
EXAMPLE: α-Bromo-α-isopropyl-p-chlorophenylacetic 5-benzyl-3-furfurylethylester.
USE: Insecticides: controlling agents against injerious insects in the fields of agriculture, floriculture and sanitary.
PREPARATION: The reaction between a carboxylic acid of formula III or its reactive derivative and an alcohol of formula: R'OH (R' is formula IV) or its reactive derivative is conducted in an inert solvent to produce the objective compound of formulaI.
