Abstract

PURPOSE: To change a passenger conveyor from an automatic run to a continuous one without stopping the conveyor and immediately change the passenger conveyor from a waiting condition in the automatic run to the continous one.
CONSTITUTION: When an automatic run switch 1 is closed, an automatic run instructon relay 3 is energized so that the passenger conveyor is caused to wait in the automatic run. If an output is then generated by an upward passage detectir 10, an upward passager detecction relay 12 is energized to run the conveyor upward. When the output of the upward passenger detector 10 has vanished, the upward passager detection relay 12 is deenergized so that the conveyor is caused to wait in the automatic run. When an upward run switch 4 is closed by a controlling person, an upward run instruction relay 6 is energized to cancel the an automatic run instruction to continue an upward run. Similar processes are executed for a downward run.
