Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a two-cycle engine oil composition having improved lubricating properties and miscibility with gasoline, emitting reduced amount of exhaust smoke and sligh formation of the tar in the muffler, by compounding a base oil with a specific solvent, ash-free dispersant and surface active agent at a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: An oil composition comprising (A) 5W50 wt.% of a petroleum and/or synthetic hydrocarbon solvent having a boiling point of 150W300°C, (B) 94W49 wt.% of a polyolefin prepared by (co)-polymerizing 2W10C aliphatic monoolefins, and/or a mineral lubricating oil having a viscosity of 4W40 cSt at 100°C, (C) 0.5W15 wt.% of one or more ash-free dispersants, e.g. an alkenylsuccinimide, an alkenylsuccinate, and alkylbenzylamine, and (D) 0.005W15 wt.% of one or more surface active agents, e.g. a polyoxyethylene glycol monoalkyl ether, a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene block copolymer, etc.
