Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption of an elevator by estimating the power to be consumed during the cage travelling in response to a call and controlling the cage travel on the basis of the estimation.
CONSTITUTION: A temporary allotting device 12 outputs allot signals which represent temporary allotments of selected floor calls to the cages aWc. A service valuation operating unit 13 operates and outputs the servic valuations 13aW13c of the cages aWc as allotted with the selected floor calls. A power consumption estimating unit 14 likewise operates and outputs the estimations 14BaW14Bc. An energy valuation operating unit 15 values the power consumption and a total valuation operating unit 16 combines the service valuation signal with the energy valuation signal for obtaining a total valuation and sending signals to a cage allotting and selecting unit 17.
