Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the rise characteristics of an engine by detecting the abrupt increase of the torque or target engine speed when the torque or target speed of the engine is abruptly increased to thereby increase the bypass air amount and simultaneously injecting fuel of predetermined amount.
CONSTITUTION: When an engine 5 is rotating, air is distritubed from an air cleaner 6 through an air flow meter 7 and air intake manifold 4 into the respective sylinders. If the throttle valve 1 is closed at this time, air is flown through a bypass passage 2, and controlled in flow rate by a valve 12. Negative pressure from air intake manifold 4 is introduced to the valve 12 to thus control the valve opening time of a solenoid valve 11 provided on the midway to thereby control the opening of the valve 12. Information from an engine speed detector 13 is written in a controller 8. If the actual engine speed is, for example, lower than the target speed, the valve 12 is opened. A fuel injection valve 10 is provided at the assembly of the mainfold 4 in order to prevent the air fuel mixture gas from becoming dilute due to abrupt increase of the air amount.
