Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable automatic position control of high accuracy despite the error in the setting of the coefficient of friction between a material and table rollers and the change in the operating condition, by providing an automatic position controller for a conveyor table which is decelerated and stopped by the DC braking of an induction motor.
CONSTITUTION: The braking torque of the induction motor 10 for driving the table rollers 2 is regulated through a frequency converter 12 of the automatic position controller to deceletrate and stop the conveyor table to convey the material to a commanded position. The GD2 of the material 1 in terms of the motor shaft, the weight W of the material, the coefficient μ of friction between the material and the table, the load torque Tf, etc. are used as parameters to calculate the braking torqu by a calulator 31. A braking current pattern corresponding to the braking torque is made by a generator 32. The coefficient of friction applied to the calculator 31 is corrected by a correcting calculation memory 35 depending on the difference between the output of a conveying distance detector 34 and a commanded conveying distance.
