Abstract

PURPOSE: To calculate the remained operative time of a motor for maintaining an emergency electric source against disasters securely by supplying liquid-surface level signals for fuel and cooling water and the output voltage of a generator to an arithmetic unit.
CONSTITUTION: Liquid-surface level signals for a fuel tank 3 and a cooling water tank 3 in a motor 1 for power generation and the voltage signal for a generator 2 are input into a remained operative time calculating unit 14, whose output is compared with the signal from a memory unit 16 memorizing various informations of an independent power plant by a comparator 15. When the remained operative time is reduced under the set point, an alarm unit 9 is operated for the first stage, and a load-breaking signal is output for breaking loads unnecessary for saety among loads 5∼7 for the second stage. Consequently, only loads necessary for safety can be operated for economizing consumptions of cooling water and fuel, and an emergency electric source against disasters can be maintained effectively.
