Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid color unevenness by blocking the occurrence of doming phenomenon due to mask heating, by providing the thermal absorbing film on the surface of external circumference of metal back film of the face panel having the fluorescent substance layer and the metal back film at the inner surface, while opposing the shadow mask.
CONSTITUTION: The fluorescent substance layer 2 and the metal back film 3 are coated with lamination at the inner surface of the face panel 1, and the shadow mask 5 supported with the mask frame 4 is provided by opposing to it, constituting the receiving tube. With this constitution, the thermal absorbing film 8 of black substance consisting of graphite and soot having greater thermal expansion coefficient than that of the aluminum constituting the film 3 is coated on the surface except the center region of the metal back film 3 while opposing with the shadow mask 5.
