Abstract
PURPOSE: The title composition having improved moldability free from mold deposits, toxicity, and mold corrosion problems, comprising a specific finely divided melamine cyanurate and a polyamide.
CONSTITUTION: A premix of (A) 98W70 wt.%, preferably 95W80 wt.%, of polyamide, preferably nylon 66/6 copolymer consisting of 95W65 wt.% of nylon 66 units and 5W35 wt.% of nylon 6 units, (B) 2W30 wt.%, preferably 5W20 wt.%, of a melamine cyanurate having an average particle size ≤20μ, preferably ≤5μ, and the maximum dispersion particle size of 100μ is kneaded and extruded through an extruder while preventing the secondary agglomeration of (B).
