Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the production of iron oxide in a secondary cooling water circulation system and the corrosion of thin heat transfer tubes, by introducing a high concentration of hydrazine into circulating water between a steam condenser and a deaerator of the circulation system.
CONSTITUTION: The circulating water preheated by a high-pressure feed water heater 13 enters into the drum of a steam generator 1 and is heated to steam by light of a primary cooling system 14. a part of the steam drives a turbine 2 and is removed of humidity by a hymidity separator 3. The steam part is thereafter heated by the other steam part from the steam generator 1 to drive a low-pressure turbine 5. The steam discharged from the turbine 5 is changed back into water by the steam condenser 6. After this water is conducted by a pump 7 and removed of impurities by a demineralizer 8, the high concentration of hydrazine is introduced into the water at a point A. The water is then supplied by a pump 9 to a low-pressure feed water heater 11 which preheats the water. The preheated water is deaerated by the deaerator 12 and returned to the high-pressure feed water heater 13.
