Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a pesticide containing a specific acrylic polymer as an effective component, and effective to prevent the infection of crops such as tabacco, tomato, green pepper, cucumber, watermelon, etc., with plant virus.
CONSTITUTION: Wettable powder, emulsifiable concentrate, etc., containing a homopolymer of an acrylic acid ester or methacrylic acid ester of formula (R1 is H, methyl; R2 is 3W5C linear or branched alkylene; R3 and R4 are lower alkyl; R5 is H, lower alkyl; X is halogen, acid group, lower alkyl sulfate group), or a copolymer of the above monomer with a copolymerizable ethylenic unsaturated monomer such as an acrylic acid lower alkyl ester, vinylpyridine, etc., as an effective component, and if necessary, proper diluent, carrier, etc.
