Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve durability and make possible the formation of always distinct image despite repeated use for a long period of time by forming the image holding member by providing an insulation layer mainly composed of curable epoxy acrylate resins on the surface thereof.
CONSTITUTION: Curable epoxy acrylate resins such as bisoxy ethylenized bisphenol A diacrylate (2, 4-tolylene diisocyanate, trimethylol propane triacrylate, etc. may be added and combined) is added with a solvent to prepare the solution of a suitable concentration. Next, the abovementioned solution is coated and hardened (preferably photo setting or electron beam setting) on a substrate (or photoconductive layer, other insulation layer or other provided thereon) to form an insulation layer, whereby the image holding member for holding electrostatic latent images or toner images is provided.
