Abstract

PURPOSE: To accomplish effective power transmission eliminating slippage with a secure transmission by halting and retaining the power system by a braking mechanism when the receiving shift roller is located near the center of rotation of the disc.
CONSTITUTION: A concave section 21 is formed in proximity of a disc 13 to avoid contact with a shift roller 14 while a bevel pinion shaft bearing 22 is provided with a braking piece which is adapted to contact the roller 14 when the roller faces the concave section 21. In this manner, a braking is applied on the roller by friction thereby halting firmly the bevel pinion shaft 15 as power shaft of a main transmission mechanism. With such an arrangement, a braking mechanism is constructed. Accordingly, the shift roller 14 can be shifted at the position far from the center of disc while an internal gear 17 is rotated in the direction opposite to a sun gear 18. Then, with the revolution thereof halted, a planetary gear 19 is made to approach the center of the disc to increase the revolution speed. Thus, when the shift roller 14 is fixed, the speed reaches its maximum.
