Abstract
PURPOSE: To shorten the half value period of the charges in a magnetic recording medium by using a special copolymer of vinyl chrolide-vinyl acetate as the binder of a magnetic layer and alkyl ether type surface artive agent as a surface active agent.
CONSTITUTION: In case a copolymer of vinyl chrolide-vinyl acetate, which is plastitized with a polyurethane resin, is used as a binder, less than 40% of a pokyurethane regin, a copolymer of vinyl chrolide-vinyl acetate, an alkyl ether type surface active agent and magnetic powders are blended for the whole binder. The magnetic paint thus prepared is applied to a substrate.
