Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture an easily tearable packaging film without using an expensive mold, by applying a thermoplastic resin layer to a tearable, heat-resistant substrate, and pressing the resin with a hot edge thereby forming a linear groove to the resin layer.
CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic resin layer 2 (e.g. polyethylene layer) is applied to a tearable, heat-resistant substrate 1 (e.g. paper, Al foil, plastic film, etc.). By pressing the resin layer 2 with a hot edge 18, the layer is partly embossed or the resin is partly removed, and the objective material having a linear surface groove 3 is obtained.
