Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify a coolant draining system by incorporating the function of a cover gas connecting tube in an overflowing pipe to eliminate a cover gas connecting tube.
CONSTITUTION: The opening of an overflowing pipe 14 is provided at the cover gas space within a drain tank 1. When coolant is drained, a feed pump 13 is stopped to drain all coolant within the pipe 14 in a drain tank 17. After the cover gas in the drain tank 17 communicates through the pipe 14 with a tank 11 for internally enclosing coolant, a drain valve 16 is opened. The coolant is drained via a pipe 15. The pipe 14 operates as the cover gas connecting tube to enable smooth draining of the coolant.
