Abstract
PURPOSE: To flow molten slag separately and quantitatively into a desired receiver by adjusting the angle of a tilt-action distribution trough provided below the main trough.
CONSTITUTION: Blast furnace slag is received from the main trough 6 into the distribution trough 7 for example. In case where a certain amount of molten slag is received from the exhaust port 8 to the receiving trough 9 to manufacture a hard water-granulated slag and also the remaining is received from the exhaust port 8' to the receiving trough 10 to use it for the other purposes, the amouht of molten slag coming out of blast furnace is changed with time and thus the rotation angle of the rotation axle 11 is regulated according to the amount of slag in order to keep the flow of molten slag constant all the time. Thus, high quality water-granulated slag can be obtained.
