EXAMPLE: 9-(2-Chloro-6-fluorobenzyl)-6-methylaminopurine.
USE: Coccidiostatic agent effective to the prevention and remedy of coccidiosis of poultry and cattle, Extremely low toxicity.
PROCESS: The compound I is prepared by reacting a compound II (1 mole) with a compound III (X is halogen) in the presence of a base (pref. about 1W4 moles) such as alkali metal carbonate, alkali metal hydroxide, tert-amine. etc., in a solvent such as DMF, etc., pref. at about 50W110°C.
