Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the breakdown of conveying belts and obtain good images free from transfer deviation by providing respective first, second driving means driving photoreceptor and belt and interposing clutch mechanism to the driving part of the second driving means.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive drum 11 is turned at a peripheral velocity V1 by a first driving means. On the other hand, an insulation type belt 3 which conveys transfer paper 2 is spanned between a drive roller 5 provided with an overrunring clutch and an idler 6 and is normally being fed at a linear velocity V2 (V1≥V2). The central shaft 51 of the drive roller 5 is being rotated by a second driving means irrespective from the revolutions of the drum 11. Rollers 54 are interposed between the rim 52 which is integral with said shaft 51 and is a cam face 53 and the inner cylindrical surface of the roller 5 assuming the driven part and power is transmitted to the roller 5 by way of the rollers 54 bitten between both faces. In this way, the breakdown of the belt may be prevented through interposition of the clutch and the good quality images free from transfer deviation may be obtained.
