Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate thermal imblance in a rotor through the adjustment of the flow of a cooling wind by alighning a vent of a coil with a vent of slot wedges which are so mounted thereon as to be free to slide axially.
CONSTITUTION: The total length 1 of slot wedges 11 is shorter than the length L of a section into which the wedges 11 are inserted. The wedges 11 are so mounted to the rotor body as to be free to slide axially. In operation, a vent hole 10 of a coil 4 is properly aligned to a vent 13 of the wedges 13 to adjust the flow of a cooling wind passing through the vent holes 10 and 13 from a vent groove 6. With such as arrangement, thermal imbalance therein can be eliminated without any special component.
