Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a highly efficient thermal collector by using porous ceramics with three-dimensional mesh-structures of fluid passages of inner connected spaces black-coloured on the mesh surface for the thermal collector of a solar radiation collecting apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A thermal collector 1 is composed of porous ceramics 2 obtained by sintering the ceramic sludge soaked into soft polyurethane foams and removing the carbonized foams. These porous ceramics 2 are given an almost equal structure to the three-dimensional mesh-shaped foams with inner connected spaces 3 to be shaped into a square board as a whole. A hollow 4 is formed inside the meshes 2a of te porous ceramic 2, while black-coloured glaze film 5 is given over the whole surface of the meshes 2a. This thermal collector 1 is useful to promote the absorbing efficiency of solar heat by the effect of mazes.
