Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the output signals featuring different pulse durations with the nonstable multivibrator by providing plural resistance elemetns featuring different resistance value to the time constant circuit and then selecting the resistance element with the pulse duration selection signal. CONSTITUTION:Resistance elements R1-Rn featuring dirrerent resistance value are connected to capacitor C via diodes Da1-Dan, and the pulse duration selection signals are applied to each connection between the resistance element and the capacitor via diodes Db1-Dbn. With application of the trigger signal to input terminal In, transistor Q1 and Q2 are turned on and off respectively. For instance, when the signal of high level is applied to terminal T1, Db1 becomes nonconductive. And the current flowing through R1 charges capacitor C. When the charging level exceed the fixed value, Q1 and Q2 are turned off and on respectively to secure the steady state. Thus, the output signals can be obtained with the pulse duration which is determined by the time constant circuit consisting of R1 and C.
