Abstract
PURPOSE: A photoconversion sheet, designed to convert part of the sunlight into light which has a high specific extinction by chlorophyll and to increase the photosynthesis yield, comprising a specific fluorescent substance.
CONSTITUTION: A sheet comprising a fluorescent substance, which absorbs and converts light, slightly absorbed by chlorophyll, of wavelengths 400W630 nm or light of wavelengths shorter than 400 nm, into light of longer wavelengths 630W 680 nm, easily absorbed by chlorophyll, or light of wavelengths 400W480 nm, which is emitted. Preferably, the substance will not absorb, but transmit or refrect light of wavelength zone the same as the emission light. Examples of the sheet include a plastic sheet comprising Rhodamine G, a glass plate doped with transition metal ions, and an aluminum plate coated with a fluorescent coating comprising ZnS and Ag.
