Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to simplify M-versus-N multiplex data transmission on the priority control system of a multiple data transmitter, and also to reduce in scale and maintain the system easily at the time of a failure by disconnecting an only station getting out of order. CONSTITUTION:Only one of master stations serves as a priority control station, and the others are capable of functioning it, but operate as a normal master station without using the function. Once main station MS stops sending a BSY (answer line) signal indicating transmission completion, MS1 which becomes the 1st priority control station outputs information on the address of a station, which is allowed to operate next, to lines ADR1 to ADRK. Then, MSi starts transmission which corresponds to the address. After the transmission ends, addressing is made in the same way. If MS1 gets out of order, master stations except MS1 exercise invariably supervisions over the transmission of their own address within a fixed time or the discontinuance of a synchronizing signal CLK for more than a certain time and when one station is identified as a fault one, it becomes the priority control station as a substitute for MS1.
