Abstract
PURPOSE: For improving blowing efficiency and reducing the generation of noise, to make communicating hole intercommunication of the inside and outside of the volute chamber provided on the outer-circumference of the blower of such a type as leading the air discharged from an impellor to said volute chamber.
CONSTITUTION: The air having flown through the inflow port 7a of an impellor cover 7 is discharged from the inlet 5 through the outlet 6 of an impellor 4 by centrifugal force. Thereafter, said air is gradually expanded at a volute chamber 9 so that the dynamic pressure thereof is changed to static pressure, cools a motor after passing through a communicating port 10, an air discharge passage 12 and the suction port of a motor 2a, and is discharged through the discharge port of said motor. A communicating part 13 is provided to make intercommunication between the inside and outside of a volute wall 11 vided so that the uneven thickness wave originated in the noise generated by a volute tongue 11a traveling in said volute chamber 9 and that traveling in the next volute chamber 9 cancel each other.
