Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A polymer or its salt having a recurring unit of formula I and/or II [R is lower alkyl; R1 is H, lower alkyl; n is 0 or 1W9; when n is 0, R2 is H, lower alkyl, and when n is 1W9, R2 is H; R3 is lower alkyl; R4,5 are H, lower alkyl, hydroxymethyl; R6,7 are carboxyl; R8 is H, lower alkyl; R9 is carboxyl, hydroxyl-pyrrolidino].
USE: Prophylactic agent, and carcinostatic agent.
PROCESS: The objective compound can be obtained by the polymerization of a compound of formula III[R10 is H, protecting group; R4'-R7' are same as R4-R7 wherein the hydroxyl or carboxyl group may be protected], or by the copolymerization of the compound III with a compound IV, and, if necessary, eliminating the protecting groups.
