Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable display by only touching the display part directly with a finger, by providing transparent switch on the display plane of a display element.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of twisted nematic type liquid crystal element consisting of the liquid crystal 65, transparent electrodes 64, 66, glass substrates 63, 67 and polarization plate 68, the transparent switch is constituted with the spacer 603 made of resin film such as polyester and polycarbonate, transparent electrode 601 formed with vacuum evaporation of indium oxide and tin oxide system between the glass substrate 67 and the polarization plate 68, and elastic sheet 604 made of the said resin or glass plate. Further, normal display is made by applying a voltage between the transparent electrodes 64 and 66, and the display can be changed with switching by depressing or releasing finger the transparent electrodes 601 and 602 being the switch contact placed between the electrodes via the sheet 604.
