Abstract

PURPOSE:To synthesize the two received signals in phase, by controlling the phase of the voltage controlled oscillator of one local oscillator with the phase difference detection output of two signals in intermediate frequency band, in the signal synthesis at diversity reception. CONSTITUTION:The frequency converters 1,7 converting the reception signal from two paths inputted to the input terminals A,B to the respective intermediate frequency, local oscillator 2 feeding local oscillation signal to the converter 1, and local oscillator 8 possible for frequency change and controlled with the output of the phase detector 6 supplying local oscillation signal to the converter 7, are provided. Further, the signal branch units 3,9 branching the intermediate frequency signal converted with the converters 1 and 7 respectively, signal synthesizer 4 synthesizing one output of the branch units 3 and 9, and phase detector 6 inputting the output of the other branch unit 3 via the delay circuit 5 and detecting the phase difference with the input of the output from the other branch unit 9, are provided. The output of the detector 6 controls the phase of the oscillator 8 and synthesizes the two reception signal in phase.
