Abstract
PURPOSE: To made a construction of piping cramping lag so that no stress may be concentrated on the contacting points between said lag and pipe surface and the functions thereof may be performed smoothly when the restraint of pipe-axial moment is not desired.
CONSTITUTION: The whole structure of a piping cramping lag 1 is ringed, and fitted and fixed at a proper place on the outer face of piping 2. Namely, said lag 1 is made so that the inner diameter thereof may be almost equal to the outer diameter of said piping 2 and fixed on said piping 2 through welding for example after fitted on the outer face thereof. Further, the outer diameter of said lag 1 is set almost equal to the diameter of the inscribed circle of the inner space 5 provided in the construction 4 in which said piping 2 is to be placed, and said lag 1 is contacted with and supported on the inner face of said construction 4 in perpendicular and horizontal planes. Therefore, said piping 2 is prevented from moving in the other directions, e.g. from rotation, so that smooth operation is performed.
