Abstract
PURPOSE:A covering device designed to tighten and hold the opened part of a heat- shrinkable tube completely and firmly, wherein a plate part held by the opened ends and the article to be bonded in the heat shrinking of the tube and a clamp to engage with the streaks of the tube. CONSTITUTION:The cut part 12 of the heat-shrinkable tube 10 is opened to cover the cable connection 31 and protector 32. The tube is then held cylindrical by inserting the clamping means 20 from one end of the tube 10, or by attaching to the tube 10 via the opened part 12. The clamp 21 of the means 20 tightens the web parts 23 firmly by clamping the facing streaks 15 and 15', and the plate part 22 is placed so as to engage with the ends of the inner opened parts 12. The tube 10 is heated and shrunk by a suitable means until the both ends are joined to the cable surfaces 30 and 30'.
