Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A tetrahydro-1,3,5-thiadiazine-4-one of formula I: [X is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halogen, or trifluoromethyl group; R1 and R2 are 1W8C alkyl, allyl, or formula IV (Y is halogen, lower alkoxy group, etc,; Z is H, halogen, etc.) which may be interrupted by H or O, etc.] and its salt.
EXAMPLE: 2-Methylimino-3-methyl-5-p-chlorophenyl-tetrahydro-1,3,5-thiadiazine-4- one.
USE: Insecticides and acaricides, particularly useful as preventives against lealhopper.
PROCESS: A thiourea of formula II is reacted with a compound of formula III in the presence of a base, e.g. KOH or NaOH, in a solvent, e.g. water or benzene, to give the compound of formula I.
