Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain appropriate washing performance and high dehydration performance, by providing a plurality of vertically long projections on the inside surface of a washing vessel toward its center and forming the projections so that the centrifugal force acting on the inside surface of the vessel in dehydration has an almost equal component along each section of the projection.
CONSTITUTION: The projections 22 are provided on the inside surface of the washing vessel 18. A groove 15 coupled to a dehydration hole 14 is defined between the projections 22. The projections are so formed that the centrifugal force acting on the vessel 18 in the radial direction and pushing a cloth to the projections in dehydrating the cloth has almost equal components P1WPn along the inside surface of the vessel. The water in the cloth near the inside surface of the washing vessel 18 is smoothly moved to the groove 15 by the components of the centrifugal force along the inside surface of the vessel. Since the inlet part 21 of the groove 15 is made steep, the water gathers to the part of the cloth 25 located in the groove 15. Thus, the water content in the inlet part 21 is raised and the dehydration is accelectrated.
