Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the presence or not of tape running to be readily judged by frequently performing the display changes of a counter display part according to tape running quantities.
CONSTITUTION: When a switch 12 is placed at the contact piece 12A side while the tape of a recorder-reproducer or the like is running at a low speed, a switch 15 is also set at the contact piece 15A side. In this state, the tape runs and at each 1 revolution of a shaft 11, one pulse is outputted from a pulse oscillator 10 in an (m) magnification circuit 13 through the contact piece 12A. A circuit 13 emits the false pulse of (m) times at each output pulse and therefore when (n) pulses are applied up to the terminal end of the tape, (m.n) pulses are given to a counter 14, whose count value is then sent directly to a decoder driver 16 via the contact piece 15A to be digitally displayed in a counter display part 18. When the switches 12, 15 are changed over reverse while the tape is running at a high speed, the output pulses of the oscillator 10 go via counter 14 to the (m) magnification circuit 17, which in turn sends the false pulse of (m) times at each pulse output to the decoder 16 to have them digitally displayed in the display part 18.
