Abstract
PURPOSE: To make C - Tc smaller and also to stabilize the input-output impedance at high temperatures by reducing the amount of Pb from the composition of PbTix. Zry.(Sn1/3Nb2/3)zO3 to which is added at least one of CoO and MnO2 by deviating it from the stoichiometrical composition.
CONSTITUTION: Raw materials are weighed and mixed together in such a way that the composition Pb1-aDaTixZry(Sn1/3Nb2/3)zO3 + V wt% CoO + W wt % MnO2 (where X + y + z = 1, 0 < z ≤ 0.125, 40 ≤ x ≤ 55, 0 < V + W ≤ 2, and 0.002 ≤ a ≤ 0.040(a is vacant) can be obtained, and then the mixture is calcined at about 850°C for 2 hours and then molded by pressure. The molding is baked and then silver electrode is attached to the baked molding. Then, the silver electrode- attached molding is polarized at 1.5 kV in a silicon oil at about 100 to 150°C. The piezo-electric ceramic whose Pb site has vacancy has small C-Tc, and stable input- output impedance at high temperatures with smaller variation.
