Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:o-Aminothiophenol derivative of formula A (R1 is H, lower alkyl; R2 is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, phenyl, halogen-substituted phenyl, phenoxy, lower alkyl-substituted phenoxy).
EXAMPLE: The compound D.
USE: Agricultural and horticultural fungicide especially effective to gray mold of cucumber and helminthosporium leaf spot of rice plant.
PROCESS: The compound A is prepared by reacting 0-aminothiophenol of formula B (1 mole) with carbonyl isothiocyanate of formula C (1.5W10 moles, pref. 2W5 moles) in a solvent such as benzene, under cooling or heating, for several hours.
