Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the dielectric strength, by preventing the damage of package and high voltage power supply due to discharge between the parts in the package inner surface, through scattering and fixing metallic particles, at the inner surface of package.
CONSTITUTION: In the X-ray tube consisting of the anode 1, cathode 2 and package 3, the metallic particles 10 of copper 0.5 to 10 μm in diameter are fixed together with the glass solder 11 having close expansion coefficient with the package 3 consisting of insulator such as glass and ceramic and 10 to 100 μm in particle distance. Further, a part of the particle shape is buried in the glass solder and the remainder is exposed in the X-ray tube, at fixing state. Thus, the greater discharge due to the potential difference caused between parts at the inner surface of the package 3 by scattering electrons and secondary electrons from the anode 1 can be mitigated and fine discharge is made without giving damage to the package 3, and copper particles have good adhesive properties and no scaling and removal are caused in the tube.
