Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure the discrimination for the input field intensity from the weak input to the intermediate input for the field intensity discrimination device which is used for the automatic channel selection of the TV picture receiver, by utilizing the changing part of both the IFAGC voltage and the detection output of the video detector circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The voltage which gave the peak detection to the detection output of video detector circuit 1 and the AGC voltage given from IFAGC circuit 7 are applied to different voltage comparator 4 and 8, and receive application of the reference voltage in common from variable resistor 5. The reference voltage to be applied to comparator 4 and 8 is varied by resistor 5, and these output voltage are drawn out to output terminal 6 via the OR circuit consisting of diode 9 and 10. Thus, the input field intensity can be discriminated from the weak input to the intermediate input.
