Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a hinge, comprising a main body and a pair of panels, in which these panels are hinged at one side thereof to the main body in freely pivotable manner, and they are formed respectively with a projection at the other side of the same, such that the projection can slide on the curvature of said main body, whereby the hinge can be made in a tight structure and at the same time it is prevented that noises be caused by these panels when closing them toward each other.
CONSTITUTION: Panel 7 is hinged to an elongated main body 1 of hinge having a substantially semi-circular cross section, at one side thereof in one end face juxtaposed with flat surface 2 of the main body 1. On both sides of curvature 4 of the main body 1, there are provided stoppers 10 extending longitudinally of the main body 1, whereas mating projections 6 for engagement with respective stoppers 10 when folding the panels 7 toward each other are formed on the other side of each panel 7. With such an arrangement, it is possible to obtain a hinge, smooth to open and close the panels, excellent in airtightness, and free of noises possibly caused by the panels when closing them toward each other.
