Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a method for manufacturing a fluorescent lamp, which comprises causing an inert gas or dry air to flow in a glass tube through an exhaust tube projected therefrom, while heating the glass tube in a pre-exhaustion heating furnace before sending the same to the gas exhaustion step, thereby improving the exhaustion efficiency in the exhaustion step and also improving the characteristics of the completed lamp.
