Abstract
PURPOSE:To obviate axial co-ordination and use of adhesives at the time of fusion connection, thereby enabling a short time fusion and reduction of reflected light, by inserting a suitable impurity between end faces of two optical fibers and permitting said impurity to be diffused into fibers at the time of fusion connection.
