Abstract

PURPOSE: An internal-combustion engine characterized by reduced toxic-constituents content in exhaust gas, wherein a richer fuel-air mixture arround the riser of the suction manifold is ignited first and then the resulting flame is utilized to ignite a leaner mixture.
