Abstract

PURPOSE:To make equal group delay velocities of the respective lower and higher order modes and not to englarge the width of a light pulse by connecting fibers of lower order mode alternately with fibers having group delay velocities slower and faster than that of lower order mode to thereby fabricate a transmission line of optical fibers.
