- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.導体、 その導体を囲む膨張された絶縁材層であって、フィブリルによって相互に接続 されたノードの格子を形成する延伸膨張されたポリマーと、ノードとフィブリル の中に混ぜ込まれて膨張された膨張可能なマイクロスフェアーの複合材料を含ん でなる絶縁材層、 その絶縁材を囲む外装であって、その絶縁材層よりも伸縮性が低い外装、 を含んでなるケーブルであって、 その絶縁材層は、その外装とその導体の間にぴったりした適合を有する膨張さ れた層を含むエネルギー伝導性ケーブル。 2.外装が、導体と絶縁材の周りに巻回された材料のストリップである請求の 範囲第1項に記載のケーブル。 3.材料のストリップが寸法安定性である請求の範囲第2項に記載のケーブル 。 4.外装が、導体と絶縁材を囲む材料の連続チューブである請求の範囲第1項 に記載のケーブル。 5.その材料の連続チューブが、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、延伸膨張ポリ テトラフルオロエチレン、ポリエチレン、フッ化エチレンプロピレン(FEP) 、エチレン−テトラフルオロエチレン、エチレン−クロロトリフルオロエチレン 、ペルフルオロアルコキシポリマー、及びポリプロピレンからなる群より選択さ れた寸法安定性ポリマーを含む請求の範囲第4項に記載のケーブル。 6.外装が、導体と絶縁材の周りに同時押出された連続チューブを含む請求の 範囲第4項に記載のケーブル。 7.ポリマーが、ポリテトラフルオロエチレンと超高分子量ポリ エチレンからなる群より選択された請求の範囲第1項に記載のケーブル。 8.絶縁材が、導体の周りに巻回されたテープを含む請求の範囲第1項に記載 のケーブル。 9.絶縁材が、マイクロスフェアーの膨張と機械的延伸膨張の両方によって得 られた低密度の延伸膨張材料を含む請求の範囲第1項に記載のケーブル。 10.導体を提供し、 延伸膨張可能なポリマーと未膨張の膨張可能なマイクロスフェアーの複合材料 層で導体を囲み、そのマイクロスフェアーはエネルギー源に曝されたときに膨張 するに適し、 その導体と複合材料層を外装内にジャケット状に収容し、 その複合材料層をエネルギー源に曝し、複合材料層を拡大させてケーブル内に 弾力性保護層を形成するようにマイクロスフェアーを膨張させる、ことを含むエ ネルギー伝導性ケーブルの製造方法。 11.複合材料層を付加的に機械的延伸膨張させることをさらに含む請求の範 囲第10項に記載の方法。 12.複合材料層を、ポリマーと膨張可能なマイクロスフェアーのテープとし て提供することをさらに含む請求の範囲第10項に記載の方法。 13.複合材料層を、ポリマーと膨張可能なマイクロスフェアーのテープとし て提供し、 導体を囲む前にテープを機械的延伸膨張する、ことをさらに含む請求の範囲第 12項に記載の方法。 14.寸法安定性材料のストリップを含む外装を提供することをさらに含む請 求の範囲第10項に記載の方法。 15.導体と複合材料層の周りに外装を巻回することをさらに含 む請求の範囲第14項に記載の方法。 16.導体と複合材料層の周りに外装を螺旋状に巻回することをさらに含む請 求の範囲第15項に記載の方法。 17.本質的に連続的な外被を含む外装を提供することをさらに含む請求の範 囲第10項に記載の方法。 18.導体の周りに連続的外被を同時押出することをさらに含む請求の範囲第 17項に記載の方法。 19.複合材料層をペーストとして提供し、導体の周囲の周りにペーストを施 すことをさらに含む請求の範囲第10項に記載の方法。 20.導体を浸漬コーティングすることによって導体の周りにペーストを施す ことをさらに含む請求の範囲第19項に記載の方法。 21.マイクロスフェアーの膨張後に外装を除去することをさらに含む請求の 範囲第10項に記載の方法。 22.外装が、膨張後に複合材料層から分離される型を備える請求の範囲第2 1項に記載の方法。 23.複合材料層より伸縮性が低い外装を提供し、 外装の中で絶縁材層を拡大させ、導体と絶縁材層の間にぴったりした適合を形 成させる、ことをさらに含む請求の範囲第10項に記載の方法。 24.導電体を提供し、 ポリマーと未膨張の膨張可能なマイクロスフェアーの複合材料を提供し、その マイクロスフェアーはエネルギー源に曝されたときに膨張するに適し、 その複合材料より絶縁性テープを作成し、 その絶縁性テープを膨張させ、 その導電体の周りに絶縁性テープを巻回し、 その導電体とテープの周りに外装を巻回し、その導電体と絶縁性テープの間に ぴったりした適合を形成する、ことを含む電気ケーブルの製造方法。 25.複合材料を押出することによって絶縁性テープを形成することをさらに 含む請求の範囲第24項に記載の方法。 26.テープを機械的に伸長させることによってテープを延伸膨張させること をさらに含む請求の範囲第24項に記載の方法。 27.導電体と絶縁性テープを外装の中に巻回した後、テープを膨張させて外 装と導電体の間によりきつい適合を形成させるように絶縁性テープをエネルギー 源に曝すことをさらに含む請求の範囲第26項に記載の方法。 28.テープをエネルギー源にさらすことによってテープを膨張させることを さらに含む請求の範囲第24項に記載の方法。 29.少なくとも1本の導体、 その導体を囲む膨張された絶縁材の弾力性のある層であって、ポリマーとその ポリマーに混ぜ込まれた膨張可能なマイクロスフェアーの複合材料を含む絶縁材 層、 その絶縁材を収容する外装、を含んでなる電気ケーブルであって、 そのケーブルは低い誘電率を有し、そのケーブルに対して加えられた力によっ て生じる高誘電率化に抵抗する電気ケーブル。 30.ケーブルが同軸ケーブルである請求の範囲第29項に記載のケーブル。 31.ケーブルが1.25未満の誘電率を有する請求の範囲第30項に記載の ケーブル。 32.弾力性の絶縁材層が導体をぴったり囲む請求の範囲第29項に記載のケ ーブル。 33.導体を提供し、 ポリマーと膨張可能なマイクロスフェアーの複合材料を含む絶縁材層を提供し 、 所定の内径を有する外装を提供し、 その導体をその絶縁材層で囲み、 その導体と絶縁材層を外装の中に収容し、 膨張可能なマイクロスフェアーを活性化エネルギーに曝し、マイクロスフェア ーを膨張させて外装の内径を絶縁材の弾力性のある層で充満させる、ことを含む ケーブルの製造方法。 34.伝導性同軸ケーブルのシールドを含む外装を提供することによって同軸 ケーブルを製造することをさらに含む請求の範囲第33項に記載の方法。 35.同軸ケーブルのアセンブリーが完成した後、膨張可能なマイクロスフェ アーを活性化エネルギーに曝すことによって低誘電率のケーブルを製造すること をさらに含む請求の範囲第34項に記載の方法。 36.押出可能なポリマー材料を含む外装を提供し、 導体と複合材料の上に外装を押出することによって外装内に導体と複合材料を 収容する、ことをさらに含む請求の範囲第33項に記載の方法。 37.導体と複合材料の上に外装を押出しなから同時にマイクロスフェアーを 膨張させることをさらに含む請求の範囲第36項に記載の方法。 38.外装が導体と複合材料の上に押出しされた後、マイクロスフェアーを膨 張させることをさらに含む請求の範囲第36項に記載の方法。
