Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify waterproof structure by a method wherein a rubber packing is provided between the opening surfaces of an lower case and an upper case, and holes through which a harness connected to an inner electronic device is inserted are provided to the rubber packing. SOLUTION: A lower case 11 and an upper case 14 which are like a lunch box and having open sides respectively are joined together interposing a waterproof rubber packing 12 between their opening surfaces. A harness 13 required for communicating signals to the outside is put through holes provided to the waterproof rubber packing 12, where the holes are small enough to make the cases watertight. A waterproof structure is formed of only the waterproof rubber packing 12 interposed between the lower case 11 and the upper case 14, so that it can be made simple.

A rubber packing is provided on an opening surface of (a) a lower case, (b) an upper case, (c) an opening of the lower case and an upper case, and (d) an internal electronic part of the rubber packing. A waterproof structure for an electronic device, which is provided with a hole for passing a harness for connecting to the device. 2. The waterproof structure for an electronic device according to claim 1, wherein a portion of the rubber packing through which the harness is passed has a wide width and other portions have a narrow width.
