乾燥装置の効果を列挙すると次の通りである。 (イ)ヒーターに熱電対をセットできるため温度調節が
容易で加熱温度が一定にできて均質な製品の製造ができ
る。 (ロ)遠赤外線による加熱は、被加熱物の内部から加熱
できるため処理時間を短縮できる。 (ハ)ホコリ、チリ等が出ないのでクリーンな加熱、乾
燥ができるため、食品類はもとより、電子部品、塗装部
品等ホコリやチリをきらう物品の加熱、乾燥に広く利用
できる。 (ニ)コンパクトなヒーターを組合せるため温度調節に
よって多様な温度カーブが可能となるばかりか、装置自
体が小型化できる。 (ホ)緊急遮断弁、ガス漏れ警報装置、失火検出装置を
備えるため安全操業ができる。 (ヘ)エネルギーコストの低い燃料を使用しているので
ランニングコストが低くなる。 (ト)熱交換器により排熱利用を取り入れているためエ
ネルギーのロスが少なくてすむ。 (チ)この遠赤外線ヒーターユニット(図3)により、
遠赤外線放射面の温度ムラを非常に少なくすることがで
きる。という諸効果が得られる。
