Abstract

PURPOSE: To surely hold a winding condition, to prevent natural decomposition in a natural environment from making a cause of contamination even when a core is discarded after use, and to decrease a heating value when burned, with also incineration made easily capable. CONSTITUTION: A plastic foaming material layer 2 is provided in a peripheral surface of a paper tube 1 in width corresponding to the width of an adhesive tape. This plastic foaming material layer is formed of raw decomposition plastic, to obtain a core for the adhesive tape. The plastic foaming material layer 2 can be formed in an intermediate part of a thickness of the paper tube 1, and the core for the adhesive tape is prepared by molding work by using raw decomposition plastic.

2. Description of the Related Art Most adhesive tapes are sold in a rolled state in which a paper tube, which is a cylindrical body made of paper, is wound around a core. Since these adhesive tapes are wound around the core in a constant tension state during the production, there is internal stress strain in the wound ones, which causes the so-called bamboo shoot phenomenon. It may occur or cause deformation such as partial collapse of the winding core. In addition, depending on the type of the adhesive tape, new internal stress may be generated due to the influence of humidity, temperature, etc. during storage of the wound adhesive tape to cause deformation. Such various deformations are prevented by winding a polyethylene foam sheet around the core and absorbing and relaxing internal stress by the foam sheet.

Such a core is discarded after the adhesive tape is completely rewound, and the paper part constituting the core is decomposed in a natural environment, but a polyethylene foam sheet is used. Since it is not decomposed, it will cause environmental pollution if left unattended. In addition, when incinerating a large amount at the same time, there is a problem that high combustion heat is generated and the incinerator is damaged.

Further, depending on the type of adhesive tape, a plastic core may be used because of its good appearance, suitability for mass production, and low cost. Such plastics include propylene resin, styrene resin, acrylic resin, ABS resin, polyester resin, and glass fiber reinforced resins thereof, which are molded and manufactured. These cores are also discarded after the adhesive tape is rewound, but if left unattended in the same manner as described above, it may cause environmental pollution, and when incinerated, its high combustion heat is required. There is a problem that it damages the incinerator because of.

EXAMPLE 1 The present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the following examples. Polytetramethylene succinate (a polymer of 1.4 butanediol and succinic acid), which is an aliphatic polyester obtained by chemical synthesis, is used to foam. A 1 mm thick foam sheet with a magnification of 14 is prepared. This foam sheet is wound around the surface of a paper tube 1 having an inner diameter of 3 inches and an inner thickness of 2.5 mm, and is adhered with a water-soluble adhesive to form a foam layer 2. This was cut into a width of 18 mm to obtain a core 3 of an adhesive tape. Further, as shown in FIG. 3, a paper layer 4 of a paper tube may be further provided on the foam layer 2.

(Combustion test) Inventive product 2: The core of Example 2 was used. Inventive product 3: The core of Example 3 was used. Control product 2: Polystyrene was used, and a core formed in the same manner as in Examples 2 and 3 was used. (Test content) The product 2, the product 3, and the control product 2 of the present invention were placed in crucibles and burned by a burner. (Result) The product 2 of the present invention burned quickly as in the case of the paper core, and the generation of soot was slight. After burning, only talc remained as a residue. The product 3 of the present invention burned promptly as in the case of the paper core, and generated little soot. No residue was seen after burning. Control product 2 raised a large flame during combustion and generated violent soot. Soot adhered to the entire inner surface and surrounding area of the crucible after combustion. The burning time required about 2-3 times as long as that in Examples 2 and 3. (Discussion) The products of the present invention 2 and the product 3 of the present invention can surely hold the adhesive tape in a wound state, do not cause the bamboo shoot phenomenon, and have good biodegradability. You can gradually collapse into the natural world. Further, the combustion is gentler than that of the control product 2, and the heat of combustion is less generated. Furthermore, the product 3 of the present invention can be decomposed in a short period of time, and is considered to be more useful.

As described above, according to the present invention, the adhesive tape can be surely held in the wound state, and even if the core is discarded, it is naturally decomposed in the natural environment. As it goes, it does not cause environmental pollution, and since the calorific value at the time of combustion is small, it does not adversely affect the incinerator and it can be used effectively.
